What happens at meetings?

Meetings are once a week and are very informal, the main objective is that members meet and give mutual support.

The group leaders draw up the program and various activities are offered. Every effort is made to make meetings interesting and worthwhile.

No pressure is put on anyone to participate in discussions or to give a testimony, however, members soon feel so at home that they participate spontaneously.

People get tested on a weekly base for the use of substances which serve as a motivation. A very important event in the  12 Step Freedom program is celebrating a person’s “sobriety” birthday.

What else can the 12 Step Freedom program offer me?

Seminars for addictive persons and their families where boundaries are set and also Empowerment seminars. A quarterly newsletter about the 12 step Freedom program and its members. “reaching out” opportunities within the group. The opportunity to become a group leader and help other people to overcome their addictions, fears, hurts, habits, or hang-ups.

What must I do if I wish to attend a meeting?

We all  know how it feels to join a group of strangers for the first time… Don’t let the thought of a group or strange faces prevent you from attending a meeting. We can walk the road with you but we cannot walk it for you. Do what is right for you. Contact the chair person today for more information. (you can even meet the chairperson and other directors before the meeting). Our prayers are answered not when we are given what we ask, but when we are challenged to become  what we are meant to be.
